Beautiful, petite and easy going. A real lady who is the sweetest thing you
could ever hope to meet - and also, one of the shyest. That’s what my
―
foster Mom says to me whenever she brings out the camera. She says it’s
really hard to snap a picture that shows how pretty I really am because I
avoid her camera.
My whole life, it was just me and Dad, then things changed; life got
complicated and Dad had to let me go. I love people of all ages and sizes
but I have to admit that I’m partial to men. I’m so much more comfortable
with them; I guess it’s from so much time with just the two of us.
My foster dad says that I am very affectionate and he gives me the best
belly rubs, which I just adore, and my foster Mom tells people he comes
home to a different Mollie than the one she spent the day with. I don’t
know how that’s possible since there’s only one of me but she swears it’s
true. It might have something to do with the fact that she’s the one who
keeps giving me those pesky eye drops. (I have an eye condition called
Pannus which is just another thing that makes me special) I know the
drops are super important and she does it for my own good. She’s
explained to me that I have to have them every single day forever so I try
to sit still but it is so hard!
Oh, and you might like to know that I’m not a material girl (pardon the pun).
I’m not fond of toys; actually, squeak toys scare the daylights out of me.
You’d think I’ve never seen one before or been attacked by one, although I
don’t remember that happening! But I do like my kennel. I don’t need it –
ever – but I like to nap in there and often wander in all by myself.
I bet you didn’t know that I don’t counter surf, I’ve mastered “down” and
“sit”, take treats ever so gently and am getting much better at walking on
that dumb old leash thing. I think I should go everywhere at breakneck
speed like I do in the back yard, but it’s not allowed, so walk I will. And I
KNOW you haven’t heard that I love, love, love to ride in the truck. The
thing I do best, though, is appreciate everyone, people - cats - and I don’t
mind other dogs if they know how to be polite.
I’m trying really hard to adjust to this new environment and my foster Mom
and Dad have promised they’ll make sure everybody I meet understands
that too. If you don’t mind my shyness I’d like to meet you. I’ll be attending
adoption events in the Hampton Roads area and hope to see you soon.
