Max has been a wonderful addition to our GSD pack -- another male about his age (6) and a 2 year old female. He is incredibly sweet and loves to follow me around the house, lean on me for head pats, and roll over and get tummy rubs. Max is an absolutely stunning boy, he turns heads everywhere we go, and his one slightly floppy right ear makes him very endearing. As a big fluffy boy, kids are always asking to pet him, and he absolutely loves meeting everyone and getting attention. Max came to us un-neutered and, unknown to us at the time, with a fractured hip. He has recovered beautifully and is an active, playful part of the pack. His age, 6, surprises us as he has as much energy as our 2 year old, and they love to chase, play tug, and wrestle with each other. I think Max would be happiest in a home with adults and kids who liked to play ball or even who had another dog to play with. Max has almost no prey-drive -- even when out on walks in the woods, when the other 2 pack members chase after squirrels and birds, Max is content to stay by my side and sniff and watch the world go by. Max loves being outdoors, and is very good about staying in the yard but an adopter should have a fenced yard if he is going to be allowed out unsupervised. Max had no leash manners when he came to us, but is getting so much better. He now knows sit, down, stay, stop & no, and he is fine in the house (although he didn't know what stairs were at first). Max loves his crate and goes happily there when I need to leave the house. Max will be microchipped shortly, but is ready to meet anyone interested in this lovable sweetheart!
