German Shepherd Dog (short coat) : : Female : : Adult
8/9/2014 Ree came to me a caged over bred 54lb neglected 4 year old German Shepherd. I do not believe that she has ever been inside a house before. Ree had no idea what stairs were, what to do with toys, or was unable to stand up straight because of being caged. The first week that I had her I let her just get used to being able to trust that she was going to get feed daily, that she would have fresh water, that she would be able to run around in the yard if that is what she wanted. I gave her a toy that she tried to hide in her crate, but that was OK that would be her toy. The next week we started on getting used to being in a “pack”. Getting used to having rules in the house. This is hard for her. She has learned the command sit. We are working slowly on each command and each rule of the house. She knows that I’m the pack leader. This girl is going to be a beauty. When she finally has all of her weight on which I think she may be 80-90lbs. She has that beautiful Red and Black coloring.
