20 July 2014 Maggie is home after a successful operation to remove part of her femur and repair her leg. The surgery was more complicated than anticipated, but the end result is good. Maggie will have several months of recovery time before she can be medically cleared for adoption. Please check back for updates.
2 June 2014 Maggie and Gracie have had a rough start on life. They were found running along a busy highway. They are both quite traumatized from something and it took a few days for them to begin trusting us after they were rescued from the shelter. They are slowly coming out of their shells but remain guarded and scared of anything new. Each day they both show us something new about their personalities and watching the two of them play (despite Maggie's injury) and romp around the yard all smiles and wags is priceless. Maggie has broken bone in her hip that requires surgery and will need a month of recovery and a month of rehab. Maggie's surgery is 16 July, please, check back for updates on her recovery. Gracie and Maggie are a bonded pair and will need to be together.
