I am Wally, and I am one of the happiest dogs you will ever meet! I just love life, and my foster parents and everyone I have met since leaving the shelter says I am just such a sweet guy. I LOVE to snuggle and chew on Nylabones. When I meet new people, I lean up against them for petting and put my head upside down in their laps. I have only been with my foster family for about four days, but Mom says I am so smart: I already knew sit, down, and paw, and now I am learning to ring the bell on the door when I need to go out to potty. She says I must have been somebody’s special boy once: the shelter listed me as a stray, but in addition to knowing basic obedience commands, I ride nicely in the car and am also house-trained and crate-trained. Sometimes I bark and whine until I am sure Mom and Dad are gone, but then I settle down and chew my bone until they come back. I take treats politely and sit and wait for my dinner to be set down like a good boy. I even take my medicine enthusiastically! (I got a respiratory infection in the shelter and had hookworms.) I sit down and wait for my leash to be put on when it’s time to go out. I am a talker, though, when I get excited, and I always get excited when Mom or Dad picks up my leash!
