Patch was found as a stray and from all appearances it must have been a long time since he had any decent care, if he ever did.  The fleas have been removed and we are getting the skin infection under control, but Patch will need care for some time to come.  He has areas of thickened, hairless skin, and a few growths on his belly that will need to be removed.  Patch is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet and he's gentle and appreciative of everything you do for him.  Although he looks pathetic he acts quite happy, probably because even now he's feeling better than he has in ages.  Patch will need an angel to adopt him but his immediate need is for many angels to contribute towards his recovery and care.  I've seen dogs in this condition before and it's amazing how they can turn around and blossom into a spectacular creature that you'd never recognize except for those eyes.  Let's hope that Patch doesn't have anything that we can't fix with some time, love, food, and medical care.  This is rescue, this is what we do and Patch is the reason we do it.  You can contact Patch's foster home at vadogrescue@gmail.com.
