Hi! This is Tank, reporting from my new foster home. I am spending my days stretched out on the patio. Check out the pictures of me working on my sun tan. I am a big dog – a little too big. I have started a new diet and fitness program. I am on thyroid meds now and will slim down soon. I am pretty easy, as GSD’s go. I sleep most of the day, get along with other dogs, and I am fine with kids (though I might knock over a toddler). I am still deciding how I feel about the cat. I am too lazy to chase her, but I cannot let her pass without growling. If you’d like to meet me, check VGSR’s events page for my appearances.

Update from Tank’s foster:
Tank is a truly great dog. He’s focused on his human and he’s responsive to his human’s guidance. Tank is protective of the house and car (if he’s in it), but settles down when I tell him all is well. Tank is easy to walk, despite his size. He does not pull on the leash. He heels well and gets along fine with other dogs we encounter. Tank is calm, but alert to his surroundings. He does not react when other dogs confront him. Tank’s size and bark are intimidating and are likely to deter any sane intruder. Tank has shed a few pounds during his time in rescue, but may be some distance from his goal weight. Tank does not have a strong prey drive, but would annoy most cats.
