Update: 5-4-11 Heidi is back with us after a brief stay with a family. After she recovered from her HW treatments and spay, she started feeling better and started demanding her place in the pack. She should not go to a home with small children unless there is a well established human leader that will not allow her to feel the need to take charge of situations. Heidi is a great girl with a lot of love to give to the right family. If you are an approved adopter and feel you can provide Heidi with her forever home please contact us. This is Heidi, she is a sweet girl that came to the rescue underweight and heartworm positive. She has since put on weight and been treated for the heartworm and is now ready to find her forever home. Its estimated that Heidi is between 6-8 years old. She is currently living with two younger dogs and does well with them although she doesnt play much (which could be because of her HW treatments). She loves to go for walks and take rides in the car. She is well behaved and has gotten along great with all the other dogs weve met with the exception of one, a little Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. She also doesnt like cats or should I say she likes them so much she tries to catch them. Heidi will have to go to a home that is tiny dog and cat free. She is great with kids of all ages and shows no food or toy aggression. She knows basic commands and we are currently working on her manners at the door. She is very eager to get outside and doesnt like to wait to do so. Heidi is a great dog and will make a great addition to the right family
