Isabella Grace, or Bella as we call her, came to the rescue because her owner had financial difficulties. On the first day with us she seemed very timid but the next day she did a 360. Her energy started to show as well as her appetite and desire to please her foster parent. She soon showed that she could do basic commands such as sit, stay and down but needs a tiny bit of work with heel. Thats no problem for a girl like Bella as she loves going for long walks and even the occasional jog around the neighborhood and wants to do better at her heel command. However, she still exhibits shyness towards other people and dogs when sharing the sidewalk. At home shell pay attention to the sounds of people coming up towards our door but wont make a peep, even when friends stop by. Now that shes been with her foster parent long enough, she has also shown that she has wonderful manners both at home and in the car. She doesnt jump on furniture, goes in her crate willingly when told to, doesnt chew anything other than her rawhide bone, and rides in the car like a champ. Currently Bella is being treated for lyme disease and has recently been spayed. She takes her medications as if they were treats in her bowl and should be medication-free by the end of November. Bella would make a wonderful addition to a home that is active especially with outdoor activities and whose family members are around the home more so than away. This 1 year old girl may keep her puppy energy at bay inside the house but she truly loves letting it loose outside on long walks or runs. Shes also great with children of all ages and wont pay any attention to cats.
