.After 3 weeks, we've learned a little more about Izerman. He's very affectionate once he gets to know you. He likes to lean up against you or put his big head in your lap. He is a little possessive of his food and toys but not excessively so. He is OK with other large dogs and seems to like children. He won't go out in the yard without me. He has a very loud bark that you can hear 3 houses away. On the other hand, he can sail over a 4-ft fence like he was in a steeplechase. He is NOT good with little dogs and probably shouldn't go with cats either. Izer should be adopted to someone with either a 6-ft fence or to someone who will take him out for frequent leashed walks. Meet the Izerman. He's 4.5 years old, neutered, current on his shots, housetrained, and crate-trained. He weighs about 75 lbs and has a short black and tan coat. He's also microchipped. He has a straight back and a big square head. Izer has come around very quickly after his long stay in the boarding kennel. He is no long afraid of Jeff or me. He gets along well with my other two dogs. He loves to go for walks and seems to have had some obedience training. His new favorite toy is a squeaky football that he will fetch, chew on, and carry around the house. Izer is very attached to me. It will take time for him to warm up to meeting new people, so we are going to start slowly. Potential adopters can email me at gsrmdrescue@yahoo.com
