This is Dracula - but we call him Draco (so much easier to say).  Draco is maybe 18 months old and was a stray in a NC shelter.  He has beautiful gentle eyes, is very thin but in fantastic spirits.  He may have been starving but takes treats nicely and is calm around food (of course he finishes every crumb).  We have had him a very short time, but he knows all about balls and sofas!  He gets along fabulously with my 16 month old female GSD and doesn't have a care about my 20 lb small dog.  He likes me, the mom with the treats, but his whole rear end and tail get going for his foster dad!  When he fills out he will be a big guy.  He is wonderful in the car, goes right into his crate, needs training (they always do) but light on the leash and very easily corrected.  I can't say enough about the impressive demeanor of this big fella.  He is vetted, neutered, microchipped and ready to warm the hearts of a new family.

UPDATE 10/16 - Draco has adjusted wonderfully to family life.  He loves to go for walks in the neighborhood and in the woods, partnering with the resident GSD.  Nothing rocks him - squirrels, trash trucks, flapping Halloween decorations, children on bikes....he is amazing.  We started group training classes tonight.   He settled quickly and is super sharp. And he is filling out, beautiful leggy boy.

UPDATE 10/13 - Draco attended the Fredericksburg Adoption event Saturday.  It was a super busy event well attended by many dogs and visitors.  Draco did fantastic, was not ruffled by the fuss, was great with all the dogs and met so many people (some of which had treats that he was so grateful for!).
