Minnie-6837 is a sweet girl with a bit of sass typical of a young shepherd. She has been receptive to training and wants to please. She has done very well at the 3 events she has attended, both in meeting other dogs with proper introductions and a wide range of people including young children. Minnie plays well with our dogs both inside and outside, she initially had resource guarding issues inside the house, but that has subsided with her gaining confidence and correction from our pups. She continues to gain confidence in her surroundings but wants to keep her person in sight. She has excellent recall, and is learning sit, wait, down, stay and leash walking. She appears to have a high drive when seeing squirrels/deer so care is needed when walking off leash. When she first met our cats she was curious but not aggressive, now she will sniff noses with them with a wagging tail, our cats are dog savvy and know not to run. Given her drive I know she would chase the cats if they ran.
Minnie is crate trained and has not had a single accident in the house since we have had her.. She is very athletic and would be an ideal running or hiking partner.
She will require continued training and structure to be the best she can be.
