05/15/2023 - I am so proud of this young lady. she did wonderfully at the Fredericksburg event.  She was a little nervous/tentative at first but still wanted to meet the other pups and people.  She really enjoyed a young puppy a guest had brought into the store. By the end of the day she had met everyone, ate a few treats, sniffed a lot of pups and ended up just chilling out and watching what was happening. Overall a great day. she was mentally tired and just laid down in the back of the car to enjoy the ride home. 

05/10/2023 - Little Hilde has just been the sweetest girl. She and our resident GSD have gotten along so well, they are constantly playing and having a good time.  She is fascinated by our kitties and thinks they just need tons of love and kisses. The cats tend to disagree but a couple will put up with it.  We went to Merrifield Garden Center this past weekend and she did quite well for her first big outing. She was a bit nervous and cautious but accepted tons of compliments and scratches, gave tail wags, and sniffed almost every plant at the place. She was quiet in the car and just settled down. I think she was a bit uncertain about it all so she'll need more positive experiences like this to really get her comfortable. Still no potty issues and walks pretty well on a leash. She has snuck up onto the couch once (that I know of) but got off when told. Overall, everything is going very well.

05/03/2023 - This sweet, little 1 year old just joined our home yesterday and has already made friends with the pack (1 GSD and 3 others - all female) and has really enjoyed running and playing with our resident GSD.  Miss Hilde is also very fond of kitties (we have 5), in a good way, giving kisses and tail wags whenever accepted. The first critter in the house she introduced herself to was Tyger, our resident Mr. Chill, where she proceeded to bathe him in kisses. She hasn't tried to get on the furniture and takes correction well. She does want a lot of attention so be prepared for kisses and to give lots of scratches and cuddles. She did fine sleeping downstairs with the other pups in the mudroom/laundry room and hasn't left us any "surprises" yet. She will whine and pace when needing to go potty which is wonderful!  She came to us from a shelter where they treated her for a pretty bad skin infection - she lost a lot of her hair.  It is slowly coming back in but is still a little rough. As time goes on, her fur should fill in more and become nice and thick once again.
