3/8/22. Everyone, meet Tiller! This sweet senior is AMAZING!!! Such a loving boy who has really impressed me in the short time I have had him. Tiller is 10 years old, but he doesn't know it! He is still very active and full of energy. Tiller is full of kisses, and loves to be around people. His former owners worked 12+ hours, and made the unselfish decision to rehome him so he wouldn't be so lonely and left alone for so many hours. He became part of his former family when he was 10 weeks old. Tiller is great with kids and people of all ages, as he lived in a home with a 2 year old who hand fed him.
Want to know how smart he is? 12:30am, he barked to get my attention, and led me to the back door to show me I had left my female dog outside by accident. I looked at him so surprised. He looked at me like" you see what you did?" LOL! Super smart! He kissed my girl on the cheek when she came back in the house. So sweet... :-) He is very friendly with other dogs as well, both at an event and while on walks, and if barked at, he just ignores them.
This loving senior doesn't like the crate! When you call his name and head towards the crate, he heads in the opposite direction. (which makes me laugh) He doesn't need a crate though! He is 100% potty trained, doesn't jump on furniture, isn't food aggressive, doesn't counter surf, and is very well behaved. He is quite the gentleman on walks, as he doesn't pull. He loves to stop and sniff every little blade of grass during his walks. He is a champ at car rides, and politely stays in the back in chill mode. Tiller knows to go to his bed for sleep. It's actually a command he knows. He likes to go into his bag and pull out all his toys and has a few favorites: his ball, his squeaky toy, and his ROPE! He loves tug of war, but he does not love thunderstorms, or the vacuum cleaner.
Tiller knows so many commands! He knows the basics plus some cool ones too. This sweet loving boy will make a great addition to a family. Tiller will do best with another dog in the house for companionship while the family is away at school/ work, and not left alone for long periods of time. He will need time to get adjusted, as he was in his former home for his entire life. I know Tiller will flourish and shine with a loving, patient family who will give him the time he needs to get readjusted and bond with the new family.
