4/24/2021 - Adoption Pending. 4/23/2021 - As you can imagine, we have had an overwhelming positive response from potential adopters! That is so wonderful, but please keep looking at the other pups on the site. They are all great and there bios/pics don't do them justice - talk to the fosters to get a real sense of the dog. Now, for my Rocky update - he is settling in and getting used to the routine. We've had a few oopses in the house but we (both of us) are working on that. Seems one potty session really is multiple. Don't let him fool you by acting as if it is all ok. We go for a walk, he does is business, then we get home and surprise - you have an oops. Ahhh puppies. Smile. His ears are starting to point upward so we'll have to see if they actually do full time or just when he's excited. He has a voracious appetite for anything that isn't in his food bowl - so watch out for counter/table surfing, anything on the floor, trash can (like the one in your office), or someone else's food bowl. He is definitely interested in cats so is getting regular corrections from all of them although that doesn't seem to slow hi down too much. He is very mouthy especially the more excited he gets. No surprise there. We are working on sit, stay and come. It works if you have a treat but he is easily distracted. He is a sweet pup but will definitely need training and discipline. 4/18/2021 - Meet my little rockstar - 4 month old Rocky. What a fabulous fella. He is a pale cream, almost white with darker cream touches on the tips of his ears, end of the tale and a light spotted/speckled pattern on his back. His ears usually flop at the tips but if he tilts his head and is really interested in something they will stand upright. He just got to our house late yesterday so he's still settling in. I can say, he loves attention and would love to curl up in your lap. So far, he was great in the car ride home; he sniffed around a bit, settled down and decided it was nap time. He did well meeting the three resident dogs. They all sniffed then went about their business. After walking around the house a bit, he found the living room crate and settled right in. He's walking pretty well on the leash although he'd prefer not to be on one. He tries to catch it so he can walk himself. He has met a couple kids and has done well, although he is a puppy so he is a little mouthy. We'll be working on that. He finds cats interesting and tries to use his paw to play with them. Needless to say he gets a hiss or a swat from the various kitties which makes him back away quickly. I think there is potential there but we'll have to see. These are just the initial observations, as time goes on, I am sure I will see more of his personality come thru. ---------- $$$ - Any and all contributions would be greatly appreciated.
