3/18/2021: Debuting Rocky 3505. Also fondly called cutie patootie and floppy ears! Rocky is a 10 month old boy who is said to be a GSD/Anatolian mix. Rocky was surrendered to a shelter and recently took his freedom ride! He is a very sweet boy with a lot of maturing to do! Rocky lacks confidence and is reserved/timid when first meeting new people but he warms up quickly with treats! He is very affectionate and loves giving hugs and kisses and he will never turn away a good belly rub. Rocky is a high energy dog who needs exercise, stimulation and could benefit from training. He has done well in the crate and is potty trained. He is scheduled to be neutered on March 22nd. Rocky is said to be good with other dogs. Stay tuned for a pupdate from his 4 legged foster siblings. We are unsure if Rocky would be a good fit with cats.

Rocky's ideal home would be one that does not have a lot of people coming and going. He has been around children and lives with two teenagers in his foster home. He is wonderful with the "adults" in the home with zero issues but on occasion he is uncomfortable and insecure around the teens. Rocky would love to have a fenced yard to run in or a running partner to get his energy out.

3/19/2021: Rocky and his foster sibling, a 3 year old female GSD had an eventful play session. They did great together. Rocky was quite the gentlemen. He did not bark upon seeing her and was a little shy at first. He loved chasing and being chased and was not overly rough.

3/26/2021: Rocky's neuter went very well, he is a healthy boy!! He is recovering nicely and is back to his normal, playful self.  Rocky is a sweet soul who is unfortunately afraid of the world around him. He has adjusted fabulously in his foster home and is a pleasure to have around. We are working with him on building confidence and learning to be comfortable in new surroundings. He loves car rides and is a good passenger! Rocky takes a daily trip to Lowes and does well. He isn't quite ready to be loved and dotted on by strangers but he behaves well. Rocky also goes with his foster dad to his office each day and has done well with the few people he gets to interact with. Rocky may do okay with cats, we have not cat tested him but he would likely be afraid of the cat initially. Rocky is a velcro dog and is very loyal to his people. He is extremely loving, affectionate and he listens very well. Due to Rocky's discomfort with new people and new environments, he would be better suited for a home with no children or with older children who are respectful of his space until he warms up and develops a trust. Rocky would not do well with young children who are unpredictable with behaviors and sounds. With the right handler and environment, Rocky has the potential to be a rockstar dog!
