My name is Zeke and I am here on the website through no fault of my own. My parents were retired and moving to a retirement community when they learned at the last minute that the community had rules against having large dogs. They had to reluctantly give me up – it was a sad day for all of us.
Now I am with my new foster family settling in quite nicely. My foster dad tells me that I am very smart and routinely practices my basic commands. When he takes me for walks, I rarely tug on the leash and practice good dog-manners. When I see other dogs, I am curious and say hi but continue on our path. I enjoy going to places with my foster family and like riding in the car.
You may notice in my pictures that my front paws turn outwards. I was just made that way and while unusual for GSD, it is common in some of my dog cousins like bulldogs. You can see in the video how much I love to play fetch and that it doesn’t impede my ability to run and play.
I am very food and toy motivated and love to learn new commands and routines. It doesn’t take me more than 3 or 4 times to learn new things. I know how important it is to be housebroken.
Hopeful that I have won your heart over and you are open to adding me to your pack! Please email my foster parents at jmarkfva@gmail.com if you have questions!
