Lyme Positive; Cardiac Murmur
7/11/17 - Reyna is a lovely, well-mannered GSD. Her prior owner died and the family was not able to keep her. In the three days since her arrival, she's been welcomed at the local home improvement stores, outdoor restaurants, and neighborhood gatherings, all of which she handled without any reaction. Reyna has been good with cats, dogs of every size, and people (young and old). She walks on her leash without pulling, but could use some basic sit/down/stay obedience practice. She's curious, but respectful of being told "no" (she wanted to check to see how I felt about her helping herself to dog cookies off the table - a big NO in my house). With her relatively small size, she'll make a great GSD family addition. 7/16/17 - Reyna passed her vet check and is scheduled for her spaying procedure in early August. She attended her first Adoption Event today in Salem, and was friendly to all the other participants (visitors, dogs, and volunteers). Lots of comments on how beautiful and well-behaved she is; as her foster mom, I have to agree! 7/28 - UPDATE. Reyna is scheduled for her spay procedure on Monday, Aug 7th. She will be available to leave for her forever home after she heals from surgery (anticipate 3 - 5 days). She continues to be a great dog. She is very focused on her "people", not other pets or other animals in the house or outside. She spends most of her day right now snuggled under my desk at my feet until I decide it's time to go somewhere else in the house, in the car, or outside.
