Don't let Lexie's age fool you! For 8 years old, she still has plenty of pep in her step!  However, once you're done with a nice walk outside, she'll be glad to just chill out with you and let you give her a nice belly rub!

Lexie loves just hanging out with her people.  When I'm at home, she likes to just hang out wherever I am.  She does very well with her foster siblings as long as they respect her personal space.  She also does great in the truck whenever she goes anywhere with me. She has been great at all the events she has attended with me.

When Lexie first came to us, she was very skittish and not good with other dogs.  She also had a problem with her back and one of her knees.  Since being with us, Lexie has had a spinal laminectomy and been able to be more active and lose some weight and is doing wonderfully.  She's doing so well, in fact, that the knee surgery that we thought she might have to have, she doesn't need after all!

I think Lexie would do fine in a home with another dog, as long as it was respectful of her personal space.  Lexie would do fine with older/considerate children.  I do not know for certain how Lexie would do with a cat, but I would imagine if the cat is the type to stand its ground and not run from Lexie, then Lexie would probably just ignore the cat.
