Happy New Year, I am Pocahontas (Pokie for short), a 2 year old sable female and I am looking for my forever home for the new year and for many more years of fun and happiness to come..

The first thing you need to know about me is that I love to cuddle and will climb onto your lap for a snuggle at the earliest opportunity, however I am more than happy to just lay at your feet if you don't want me on your lap.

I am pretty relaxed and laid back but do love to run with my big foster brother and will tease him to chase me when I decide it is time to play, I also love going to the local dog park where I can really stretch my legs and run.

My foster parents tell me that I am a German Shepherd mixed with a Collie, I have a GSD body and more of a Collie head and face, my personality is a mix of the two breeds which makes me super smart and incredibly loyal. I do have a tendency to get jealous if one of my foster brothers or sisters has a treat and I don't so I really ought to either be an only child or have experienced parents.

I am happy to meet new people and there is a cat where I live but I don't pay any attention to her.

I am crate trained, house trained and walk well on a leash, I know sit, down, stay (sometimes) and leave it, oh, and I love treats.

Velcro is a word that describes me well, I follow my foster dad wherever he goes and love weekends when I can sneak onto the bed for a lie in.
