Riley is an approximately 10 year old (original estimates had him at 12 – 13, but I think that’s unlikely – my belief is that he may even be a little younger) black and tan German Shepherd who could possibly be mixed with something else.

He’s a whopper of a dog and is now on a diet to help him drop some weight. He’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, adorable, and is also good with my two female shepherds.

The only issue is that he likes to hump near them (he’s never actually tried to get on either of mine), and handles their correction very well. Based on his personality, I believe he’d be good in just about any situation (dogs or not, kids, cats, etc.) with a low – medium energy level.

While his leg is healing (possible torn ACL), he’s being kept pretty quiet, but once he’s off his meds and feeling better he’ll get regular walks to help reduce his weight. There will also be a greater understanding of his total energy level. He’s definitely a work in progress, but a super sweet guy.
