All of the following adjectives are applicable to Raven: delightful, sweet, charming, and beautiful. I have had Raven for a few weeks and can say that she is just a dream. She is a Velcro GSD who was owned by a man before she came into rescue.  She tends to follow my boyfriend around the house more than me and is concerned when her pack is not together. She absolutely loves her belly rubbed and was an absolute lady when we had to treat the horrible yeast infection in her ears when she first came home. She was not happy about the treatment’ but, she allowed us to put the ointment in her ears, rub those tender ears, and clean them out with no issues whatsoever.

Raven is a smart lady who knows how to read other dogs in a home. She was recently at a VGSR volunteer’s home for a weekend and the volunteer said that Raven was mindful and respectful of the pup who was in charge and got along swimmingly with another, older female in the home. Also, she likes to play with any pup by chasing them if they are running around a yard. At our house, she tends to chase around my small GSD when he does the Puppy 500 in the back yard. Raven loves to chase him and even though she does not move fast, she can move REALLY well for an 11 year old.

I cannot say enough good things about this lady. She is truly a gift to whoever has the heart to open their door to allowing Raven to be spoiled completely for her senior years. She does do well with other dogs; but I would really like to see her go to a home where she can be lavished with love as an only dog since she did not seem like she was well cared for the 11 years prior to VGSR taking her in.
