June 18  My last shots are done and my ears are up - permanently! I am a real dog now. I am smarter than my twin sister and pay more attention to things around me. She is ok, but I watch it all. I also like to snuggle on the couch in the evening and nap before bedtime. I am getting beautiful dark markings around my neck and getting a mask. I look like a very rare dark golden sable GSD and I'm sticking to it. Better get me quick!

Time flies when you are a puppy. It’s May 15 now and I am not itching so much. My sister lost more hair than I did. I’m what they call “up to date” with the doctor and don’t have to take any more medicine.  Mama’s gone and we are fine. I play catch with my twin a lot and love being outside exploring. I can run like the wind and the big dogs are teaching me wonderful things that you can do in the yard, like eating twigs. I am old enough to find my forever home. I run outside to potty and rarely have an accident. I can wiggle and kiss and love people. And I love to play with everything.

May 8 update: Well now we have a problem. It was hard to look for my sister’s other toe, so I could confuse the people a lot. But we got the bugs that itch and my hair fell out a little differently than my sister’s did and they can spot us across the room now. Can’t get by with anything now. Our colors are deepening and we will be beautiful when our hair grows back thick and fluffy. The itch is getting better.

It’s been a couple weeks and it’s naming day. I happen to have a twin sister and we look exactly alike. That could have really been fun except they found out that my sister has a double dew claw on her back foot.  We had some plans to fool the people and have been practicing attacking legs or whatever passes by. We can do it together and it is a lot more fun. The people decided they would name us Scylla and Charybdis. I can’t even think those names, much less say them. What were they thinking? I’m told we are named after some Greek mythology - you will have to look it up yourself, I can’t remember it all. I’m Scylla and that is just a fine name. I’m prettier than my sister, but she thinks I’m nuts because we look the same right now.

April 19, 2014 was freedom day. I didn’t know what that means, but mom and my seven sisters and brothers went on a long ride and got a place to live. We got washed, dried, sniffed and put in a special place to be warm with mom. I think it was a good day but I got really tired.

Please think of adopting me. My mama is a GSD. Who cares about daddy…I’m beautiful and have a reddish sort of mask that is very nice.

Approved adopters (whatever that is) can contact my foster mom at eb@rescuegsds.org

Sure would be good if some nice people helped out with our doctor bills because we had a rough time.
