Hi everyone! My name is Camille, and I'm 7 years old. The first part of my life wasn't very fun--I was kept outside at the end of a chain and used for breeding. They didn't give me much food either, as I was really underweight when the animal control officers brought me to the shelter. Being in the shelter was scary. My foster mom drove down to get me, and since then my life has gotten good!

My foster mom says I'm one of the sweetest dogs ever. I love people, even though some people in my past weren't nice to me. I learned about this new thing called "head scratches" and I think I'm hooked... when I meet new people I like to nudge my head into their hand so they know I like head scratches. And chin scratches. And generally any other form of affection! I love it all!

I'm blind, so it takes me a little while to get used to new places. I didn't know what stairs were at first, and I tried to jump down them. Luckily my foster mom wouldn't let me do that, and now I go up and down the stairs really well! My foster mom says she's going to take me to see an ophthalmologist, whatever that is... I just hope they pet me.

I've been to the dog park and did really well! I was calm and behaved politely with the other dogs, but there were people there, so of course I had to walk around to all of them to get petted! My foster mom also gave me these really cool things called toys! I especially like the squeaky ones!

I'm pretty low energy, and I mainly like to lie down near my people and nap or chew on a toy. I'm happy just being near people who are nice to me. I like being inside--it's warm and I have a special room of my very own called a crate, which I like a lot! Sometimes I nap in there too.

I'm not ready to be adopted yet because I still have to put on some weight and be spayed, but I'll make sure to send an updated bio when I'm ready!
