German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Medium
I just picked up Raven yesterday (Jan. 18, 2013) and brought her to the Springfield adoption day. She was friendly and sociable with all humans and dogs. When I brought her home she was curious about her new surroundings, but once all the nooks and crannies were investigated she laid down for a short nap, after all she had a big day. She is still very much a puppy who needs training and direction to become a well-behaved dog. She is very smart. She is also a sassy and clever minx! Thus, her humans must be smart, confident, and clever, too. She is good with other dogs, but can be too full of bouncy puppy enthusiasm. She is testing the boundaries of her rather large and tolerant foster brother. He corrects her and she becomes submissive for a minute and then continues to test his tolerance. She then listens and responds appropriately to human correction. She rides well in the car. She also did well in a crate her first night. She is said to be an escape artist, but she did not breach the Vari Kennel. She knows sit, come, down, and paw. She does need to gain weight. Monday, she will be spayed and will need 10 days to recover so she will be at home resting. More about Raven 3826Good with Dogs, Good with Adults, Requires a yard, Cratetrained, Intelligent
