It is pretty obvious that sweet little Rumor has been on her own, trying to take care of herself and numerous litters of puppies for quite a while. She is very shy and not at all used to being a house dog, but she is so grateful to be inside snoozing on a soft bed. Instead of hunting or scrounging in the garbage for her food, she is eating 3 nutritious meals a day and gaining some much needed weight. Rumor has perfect house manners, is very smart, and tries very hard to please. She walks nicely on a leash but is still trying to figure out what walks are all about. She does not know how to play with toys yet. Rumor has some medical issues to overcome before she will be whole again. We are treating her for heartworms, hookworms, a swollen salivary gland, and a skin infection. When she is a little stronger, she will be spayed. She is blind in her right eye as the result of an injury, and the tips of her ears have been eaten away by flies. In spite of all her hardships, she is a very sweet and loving girl who appreciates any small kindness shown to her. With a little time and patience she will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family. KBJVA
