German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed)
Zoey is a sweet, timid girl, but she comes around quickly. We believe she is a mix, but I don't know what with. She's a small girl, and most likely won't ever get bigger than 45-50 pounds. She loves toys and cuddles, walks pretty well on the leash, and has met numerous other dogs with no issues. She is very submissive. She is not a "guard dog" type. We attended an adoption event and she was extremely well behaved; a bit shy at first, but then she just sat or laid next to me quietly. In the house she is more outgoing, throwing toys for herself and trotting around. When I throw toys for her to chase, she bounces after them excitedly. She is very food motivated and it's so cute to watch her plop her butt down with a thump when she sees you have food. I have not seen any aggression from her, food-related or otherwise. She is *mostly* house trained, but pees almost as soon as she wakes up, or as soon as I let her out of her crate, even though I put the leash on her right after opening the crate door. We are working on this.
She is very smart and inquisitive. She is also surprisingly patient and calm for a puppy, although that might change once she gets more comfortable. When I get ready for bed she lays by the bathroom door watching me. She has not been tested with cats yet, but I doubt she'd do anything other than be curious. She has met a few children, ranging from toddler to teenage, and has been good with all of them. However, because she is shy and easily startled, I would not adopt her out to a home with young children. More about Zoey 3911Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
