After a week, Kelsey has settled into her new foster home nicely. She has adjusted to having cats around, although she is still sometimes tempted to attempt to chase when they are playing. We do not allow it. She enjoys the residing male dog in the house, but has a tendency to mount and attempt to dominate him. She is learning that is unacceptable behavior. She has shown a quick attachment to me, and wants me to go with her everywhere. She follows me. However, she has some separation anxiety and whines when I am not within her sight. So far, there has been NO destructive behavior, but just whining.

She has not displayed the same type of bond with other members of the household, who are all male. She loves to ride in the car and I took her to Petco, where she was very well-behaved and kind to small children who wanted to pet her. She is still somewhat fearful, in general, but is becoming more comfortable and at ease in our home.

She is a small girl and needs to gain some weight. We are working on it! Overall, Kelsey is a very sweet girl and will, I know, make a lovely pet for her adoptive family!
