Meet Bear, a sweet, gentle and loving 9 yr old German shepherd ! He is still very  young at heart and is very treat motivated!! He enjoys running around, but also loves quiet time laying beside side person!  His love for snuggling/companionship and going for car rides shows what a well-rounded and personable dog he is.  He is a wonderful balance of loving, but not clingy!   He is a sweet and gentle dog at heart, and loves connection with his person.  It's clear that he will be a cherished member of your family.
 

 He is  housebroken, crate trained  and has basic manners - it shows that he's been well-trained and eager to please!  He gets along great with other dogs, hasn’t been tested with cats but has a low prey drive so I doubt it’d be an issue.    He is quiet overall, but takes his job as a watch dog seriously and will be the first to alert you of anyone at the house! He is a ladies man and quickly trusts women, with men he is a little more cautious but once he learns everyone is good it’s no problem.    His ideal adopter is someone who is that patient and understanding, as he thrives in routine/consistency as he is uncomfortable in new surrounding.       

 

German Shepherds are known for their intelligence and trainability, so it's no surprise that Bear has picked up good boy!    He is on the smaller side at only 65lbs, and is great health, no hips or any known issues.   He gets along with other dogs, but would also enjoy being in the spotlight and getting all the scratches and pets he can get!   He is very calm, low key and a wonderful addition!
