Meet Kringle! A 40-pound bundle of nothing but puppy cuteness! Kringle was rescued by VGSR in early January and is quickly getting adjusted to the life of a house pet. Kringle was initially a stray and was taken into the shelter on 12/23 of last year (hence the homage to good old Santa Claus). He is estimated to be approximately one year old and is too tiny for his size. When he initially arrived at the shelter he weighed in at 30 pounds, so we are making progress! He was neutered at the beginning of January and at his last vet appointment they said he’s a young, healthy boy!
Kringle has no baseline of what it's like to be a normal GSD and will need someone willing to turn this love bug into a well-trained, well-behaved pup. He is quick to learn and is working on his basic commands. He has learned sit, stay, lay down and has mastered the stairs in just a few short weeks of being with his foster family. He will need leash training and will need a family and owner who has patience to teach him what it's like to be loved and cared for daily. He is your classic velcro shepherd and loves to be where his people are. He has done well with large and small dog introductions and hasn't met a person who he doesn't want to please.
Kringle has a beautiful, long life ahead of him and is looking for his forever family!
