Ozzie is a 3 year old German Shepherd in Northern Virginia! Unfortunately, I am having to rehome Ozzie due to a career switch. The new career will have me away from home for an extended period of time and I won’t be able to have him. 

Ozzie was picked up off of the street with no collar or owner information. The shelter named him Ozzie for his “goofy” personality. He has been the best dog since day 1. Ozzie is house crate trained, fully house trained, and knows simple commands. I have had him for 2 years and he has had absolutely 0 accidents in the house and I have never had to worry about anything being messed with while I’m away at work. Also, he has never once jumped on the counter and he will wait for permission before jumping on a piece of comfy furniture. He knows how to greet everyone properly and a quick “down” will always do the trick. 

Additionally, Oz is great with kids and honestly great with everyone he comes in contact with from the plumber to family friends.  He does well with other dogs but would prefer calmer dogs that don’t come running at him because he just runs away. I have also had him around cats before and he LOVES them. He has never chased them once, but thinks he can rub up against them as if he were their size. 

When it comes to being outside, I’ve also taken him on several jogs with me and he does the best walking on the right side of your hip! He loves to sun bath during the summer and play around in the snow during the winter. He thinks birds and butterflies like being chased in the yard. Lastly, he loves car rides. He sits in the back floor board and just hangs out the entire time. Oz is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. 

 When I took Ozzie in 2 years ago, he immediately became my best friend and I never imagined being in a situation that wouldn’t allow me to have a dog. I think he and were both great for each other and I hope he can be even better for the next lucky family. He is truly a blessing to have been around. Ozzie would do best in:

1.     A home with a taller fenced in yard

2.     A calm home that isn’t overly loud

3.     A home with calmer other pets

4.     A home with kids would be great (only if they like dog kisses)
