You guessed it! Even though I’m a lady dog, my name is Alex. Although some say I’m five years old, I’ve got the moves of a two-year-old! When I go up steps, it looks like I’m floating. I can bob and weave with the best of them. But although I like my zoomies, I also love to curl up and relax next to my people. My current people say I’m on the small side for a German shepherd, which is very nice when it comes to exploring new surroundings. I’ll weave in and out of rooms until I have the whole place mapped. My people also say I’m smart and a quick learner. They’ve been teaching me how to sit, lay down, come, leave it and drop it. I’ve already learned how to retrieve a tennis ball, but to be honest I only like to do it three times, then go get the doggone ball yourself! Right now, I’m the foster sister to VGSR alumna Sheila. She’s been very protective of her mom and dad, and I certainly understand that. But I’m working my way into her heart, and she’s warming up to me – well, at least she doesn’t bark at me quite as much as she did when I first arrived two days ago! Although I’m calling this place home right now, I’m really looking forward to having a permanent family to call my own. This sweet face is looking forward to looking at you first thing every morning and last thing every night.
