2/22/19 . Hello, my name is Max and I am a beautiful black and red six year old male German Shepherd Dog. My former life wasn't great. I was used as a stud dog and treated very badly. Because of this I am VERY timid with all humans and terrified of men, so I may need to go to a home with women only.  I will need a special human that has lots of patience and understanding, who will be willing to accept my issues and work with me.  I love playing ball and would benefit from a structured activity to build up my confidence. I am great with children, cats, other dogs and women. I'm housebroken and do not need to be crated when left alone. I'm going in to be neutered soon (not sure what that is!) and will be ready for adoption soon. 

Max has tested negative for heartworm, but positive for Lyme's. Dr. Wilson with Brandon Animal Hospital will draw additional blood for a lyme titer when he goes in for his neuter.
