Meet Bella or as we like to call her, "Bella of the Ball".  This happy, energetic, almost 8 year old spayed female LOVES to fetch and return her ball.  She is very fast and will catch it in the air or running after it if you give the ball a good throw.  She will chew on her ball for a bit before dropping it on the ground for you to throw it again.  If you tell her to sit and say please, she will do that, too.  If you take too long throwing the ball to her, she will gently remind you that she is waiting by either bringing the ball closer to you or giving a quick bark.  She is house trained and has not had any accidents.  Bella is excellent with children.  She will very gently take treats and minds her manners around them.  Bella will alert and bark when someone comes to the door. Bella prefers getting her exercise with the ball, but will walk with you.  Bella is a small GSD, 60 pounds, which the vet says is a good weight for her.  She is up to date on all her shots and is in excellent health.   She does not get on furniture and prefers to sleep on her bed or the floor.  She does not like small spaces and is not crate trained.  Thunderstorms make her nervous and she will stay close to you until the storm passes.  She is agile, able to go up and down stairs with no problem and loves to go on car rides.  Bella needs someone who can spend time with her everyday playing ball.  She does like her alone time though and will wonder off to sleep in a different part of the house when you are still.  When she hears you move, she will come check to make sure you are okay.  She is always ready to go if the pack is on the move.  Bella is great about coming when called, knows several commands and has a very sweet, gentle disposition.  10/19/17 As Bella is getting more settled into her foster home, she is now regularly alerting when someone comes to the door.  She is showing her protective/territorial instinct with cats and other dogs.  She will patiently sit for you and wait for a command before eating out of her food dish.
