Pocket

Updated on Monday, 11/03/2008

News on Pocket read all about it! Pocket is a darling, petite GSD/Lab mix. Some also think she has beagle in her. Despite her horrible past of being tied up to a tree and not getting the proper care, she is happy as can be. She has the most beautiful face and lively eyes. She has a great appetite, almost never barks, is quiet at night and just lies around. Pocket has a lot of energy and would do best in a family who intends to take her on hikes, to go biking or jogging on a daily basis. She loves squeaky toys, playing fetch with a squeaky toy, attention from humans and playing/running with other dogs. Pocket has undergone heartworm treatment early July and was also treated with antibiotics for lyme disease. Her skin infection is gone and her coat is thick and shiny again. Pocket is now a perfectly healthy and happy dog just looking for her forever home. She is really good with cats; she does not even look at them. She will likely be great with kids too as long as they don't mind lots of affection and kisses. She likes lounging on a couch or a dog bed inside. She is good in a small room or free roam but likes to chew on toys so put your shoes away, just in case. Pocket also learned once upon a time how to climb a chain link fence. She only did it once here at our home when another dog passed right next to our fence and she wanted to go with him and play. Overall, she prefers to stay where humans are and when off leash, she bounces away for a few seconds to then return to you. She will definitely become a great addition to an active family who loves to have a playful, happy-go-lucky dog. Daily walks or exercise are a must! If you think Pocket is a good match with your family, please contact her foster mom Emily at emily@hartman1.com. HEVA
