Adoption Pending!

Dax is about 2.5 years old. He came to us from a shelter in the Tidewater area. Dax is neutered, current on vaccines, and is now heartworm-negative. He is a healthy, happy boy, a pretty typical shepherd for his age. He is responsive and submissive to people but does some male posturing with other dogs when they first meet. However, Dax has gotten along well with a dozen or more dogs in his foster home. Dax is friendly to people generally, but probably isn't a good choice for children under 10. I don't think he will be cat-friendly or even cat-tolerant. He loves his crate and is generally good indoors, but needs to be watched or crated when you are gone. He can jump a 4' fence easily and will do so when he's ready to come back inside. He can also scale a 6' chain link fence. Dax will make a wonderful active companion.
